The Motanka Grandmother Guardian Beeswax candle, is hand-poured, "antiqued" with natural beeswax and features detailed traditional folk designs. The Motanka is holding a sickle charm—an ancient symbol of harvest, abundance, and ancestral wisdom.
The name "Motanka" comes from the word “motaty” (to wind).
They are traditionally handmade made out of fabric & herbs, faceless, and are a domestic symbol of fertility and household guardians.
Motankas differ from ordinary dolls by "empty" faces. Our Ancestors believed that giving the doll a face could tie a person's soul to it.
These candles are created as an honouring and intended to be a symbol of Prosperity, Protection, Healing and Hope.
Each candle burns cleanly and slowly, releasing the subtle sweetness of pure beeswax. A meaningful addition to any home altar, meditation space, or cultural collection.
Made with ritual grade local beeswax.
